Job description
The selected candidate will work independently to analyze requirements and specifications to create software stability test cases necessary for customer acceptance and product launch (handsets) activities. The test engineer is expected to contribute significantly to the stability test strategy and lab preparations across multiple global locations. This includes mastering the required tools, requesting new internal tools, preparing lab equipment, and establishing communications across sites.
The successful candidate will use commerical and internal test tools to verify the functional correctness and long-run software stability of handset/ mobile phones. This involves day-to-day scheduling with team leaders and managing 10-50 concurrent automated test runs. This role requires working closely with software developers to isolate difficult defects and retest corrections.
This Engineer will be primarily assigned to plan, execute, and debug automated software stability tests for mobile phone applications throughout the software development cycle.
Qualifications
· Experience with Windows Mobile Hopper/KITL and LTK required.
· Strong communication, coordination, organization, and reporting skills required.
· Experience with Android Hopper preferred.
· Experience with other automation & stability test tools preferred.
· Experience with commerical and proprietary automation
· Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical, Software or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience.
· Verification in a cellular information technology (GSM, CDMA, WCDMA) is highly desired.
