Femto Cells

I have been reading alot on this and it seems there is a push starting to happen.
Sprint currently has a Femto cell (Airave) product from Samsung. Verizon and AT&T are starting to join the the Femto path. AT&T is different wireless techmology than Sprint and Verizon, they use GSM/UMTS network. Verizon and Sprint are CDMA. Verizon is also plannign to release a Femto cell. The vendors they will use are still being determined, reading frmm a few articles, I am not sure who the vendor is.

Nortel filing for Chapter 11

With Nortel filing for Chapter 11 it just shows how the telecom industry is being affected. Comeptition is very fierce with new players. The Chinese telecom equipment makers are being backed by the Chinese government giving them an advantage. I really can't say if this is a good thing or bad thing that NORTEL has filed.
