POSITION SUMMARY

This team builds the infrastructure software to support various types of data services extended to the device.

Some of the key goals of this product are to provide an open, flexible and scalable foundation upon which various Blackberry data services are built. In addition, it must also deliver a highly scaleable and highly available solution in order to support hundreds of thousands of users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing functional requirements for the Blackberry Hosted Software (BHS) team.

With this role, the successful candidate will work with Product Management to translate market requirements to detailed technical requirements for the team as well as
co-coordinating the requirements with other RIM teams as required. They will also work with the technical team leads and architects to develop technical specifications and provide knowledge transfer and assistance to the Quality Assurance team to build test strategies and plans.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• A University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5+ years experience working with business units to define requirements for software products
• Strong knowledge of user interface design concepts in HTML, WAP, and JAVA applications
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; team orientation
• Self-motivated and can work with minimum supervision
• Able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
