POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate’s primary function will be the root cause analysis on RIM handhelds and electronic accessories. The Analyst will be expected to perform this down to component level. Follow up with component vendors and design engineering teams will be required when writing detailed reports. Additional responsibilities will include maintenance of test equipment and test fixtures used within the reliability group, the incumbent will also be required to enhance equipment performance and availability through investigation and continuous improvement projects, and identify potential issues with lab procedures and processes and then recommend possible solutions.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Electronic Engineering Technologist/Technician or related diploma Telecommunications preferred
• Experience with electronic and RF measurements and measurement equipment is an asset.
• Experience analyzing and repairing RF or consumer electronic devices is an asset
• Analytical and Presentation Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
